1. If your lamp poles are corroded, especially from dogs pee, you can call the city at Frederick City Public Works Paint & Sign Dept 301-600-1379. When, they are too busy I would ask them about using a spray can of something like Rustoleum to save our city some money.

  2. Our road edges and sidewalk openings and curb cracks can crumble worse, from the growth of weeds. I personally would consider spraying something like weed killer where that happens, to make it longer for ourselves, our city, or homeowners' association to have to pay to fix the cracks.  Homeowners pay for fixing their sidewalks, our city pays for the curbs and part of the roads, and our homeowners association pays for sidewalks by its owned common areas like our pool, and part of our townhomes' paving.

  3. I found that our garage door, since it is double wide, was beginning to sag, when fully up; and could be difficult to close. I set the automatic control, to almost close the door , so that the last section, was left at a 45 degree angle. That position provides much more structural support, as shown below.  No more sag problem and chance of breaking our garage door:
